What about
the new airport security rules?
They are ever-changing, like the weather. My best suggestion
would be to click on Smart Packing
Do I need a passport?
Yes – As of January 2007 if you plan to travel outside
the 50 states you need to have a passport.
How do I get
a passport? You can pick up the forms at your local
post office, or for the quick and easy way, you can use this
link http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html You
will need an original Birth Certificate.
When will I get
my tickets?Your travel document will
be ready about 3 weeks prior to departure. You will receive
them either by UPS or other form of secured shipment, or
if it’s
a large local group, we’ll have a met and greet party
to distribute the documents.
Can I use my
Frequent Flyer number with the flight to get miles?Absolutely!
Just email us your number and we'll add it to the record.
It is also a good idea to reconfirm at the time of check
in that the airlines have the number in the record.
If you don’t have a frequent flyer number, and want to
start earning miles, it is easy to get a number. Email us and
we’ll guide you through the process.
Can I use my
miles with the package you offer? Nope!
Unfortunately we can’t use your miles, you’ll
need to do that. So go ahead book your flights using your
miles, then call or email us your flight arrangements and
well help with the rest of the package.
What happens
if I can’t go? We’ll be sad. We’ll
miss you. And hopefully you purchased Travel Insurance. If
you have to cancel for a medical reason you won’t be
out any fees.
If you didn’t purchase insurance, depending on when
you cancel you could have fees ranging from $50.00 to the
entire cost of the package.
D-Tours Travel HIGHLY recommends travel insurance.
How much will
travel insurance cost?
Insurance prices can vary depending on the trip, and they
type of coverage you would like to have. Give us a call we’ll
be happy to explain the differences and give you a quote. Travel
insurance is like every other kind of insurance, you hate to
pay for it, but are darn glad you have it when you need it.
It’s a small price to pay to complete peace of mind.
How much luggage
can I take? Each airline has their
own guidelines and like everything it is constantly changing.
Best rule of thumb is a small carry on. If you’re taking
a rolling case as carry on, many airlines have reduced the
size acceptable. |
